Hello! Thanks for stopping by to check out the shop. rovePrints was born out of a love for maps, a passion for exploring cities and the desire to work with my hands (a nod to 6 years of building models in architecture schools).

Working as an architectural designer by day, I've grown nostalgic for designing things by hand and decided I needed a creative spark to reel myself back into the world I have such excitement for. In the middle of winter 2014/2015, I decided to sign up for a printmaking course at a local studio in my neighborhood of Ravenswood, Chicago. Knowing nothing about screen printing -- but growing captivated by the process -- I felt I had found a new medium to 'make.'

Any of my friends and family will tell you that a favorite activity of mine is riding my bike (or taking an exploratory walk) through a city's neighborhoods. I wander through them like a distracted driver, spotting a funky old building or a derelict industrial corridor, and then I make my way to it to discover more. Putting pen to paper and illustrating some of my favorite places in the form of a map has become a tangible way to capture my wanderlust.
